I made a tree

6 May

I made a tree, originally uploaded by Lorimae Undercroft.

It’s part one of a tree! Next will be to try and make a bit kind of attach to it just so.

32 slices, sculpt studio
Some noise, and a stack of slices and a little tapering, whabam! instant tree!

Dang, stuck online

6 May

Update #2:  Aw man, it didn’t work!  Waited the time, plus a bit extra.  I’m still unable to log in.  I updated my support ticket, so hopefully they can offer some more advice. :)  Maybe another unsticking of my AV or something?  I’m starting to think I might have to go clean the bathroom to pass the time.  aah!  Help me Lindens, I don’t wanna scrub the tub!

Update #1:  Wow they are fast!  I got a reply faster than I expected!  I actually figured it’d be a couple days, to be honest!  I’ve read what people post on the SL forums, so I was bracing for a wait haha.  Yay thanks for the quick help! <3

In about 25 minutes I can log on again :)  They asked me to wait 30 minutes, clear my cache, then log into one of the two sims they told me to try.  They’ll also restart the sim I was at too. Hopefully all works then yippie!

——-

I crashed around 3:15 SL and it shows me online. If you’ve sent IMs or items, catch me later when I’m really there please! I’ve got a support ticket in now so hopefully I will be back quick. I don’t know how long it usually takes to get help.

I’ve tried sending stuff with an alt, but I am still stuck. Trying to log into the sim I crashed in and home didn’t help either. *weeps*

I was on a good creative streak strutting around with my new pillow too! I guess I’ll go mop the kitchen and clean the toilet. Not with the same scubber though. Don’t worry, I won’t scrub potatos later with these scrubbers either!

32 slices, made with Sculpt Studio
Basic cylinder slice, some noise, resized a bit on the slices to give it some lumpiness.
Texture: Captured Fuzz by Torley

Wheeee! I think I may have a little more understanding on how to do the ears I want for another project now too. Little by little… yay!

HUD tips that I remember now

6 May

Woo! I’m remembering. The initial shock of all the buttons is a bit.. wow. It’s a little less scary to look at today than it was last week.

On the left side of the hud is Sculpt Studio written vertically. That’s the same as if you touch the workpad to bring the blue menu up.

That alone is saving me a lot of aggravation of continually arranging my camera back and forth. I love it, if I learn nothing else with the hud.. this alone is worth wearing it.

Then I remembered something else he’d taught us about using the sculpt studio hud.

If for example you have 32 slices rezzed. Instead of finding slice 0 and clicking it with your mouse on the slice and doing From Here and then slice 31 and doing To Here… nay, my friend.. do this instead!

On your hud you see how it goes 0 (at the bottom) up vertically to 31 (at the top, obviously hehe) Well left click on zero and hold, drag up to the 31 and let go.

It lights up quickly in pink and the menu pops up with what do you want to do with 0 to 31. Or whatever range you did.

That is awesome!
