The De Fleur dresses are not child AV sized, but some of them can be resized to fit

Some are set to 0$L in her shop, and some are marked to 100$L

You’ll just have to find them!

SLURL™: Clock Island (PG)

I haven’t posted a fun link in a bit! This small island is great. The notecards are written in Japanese, so I used Google Language Tools to translate. You can use Japanese to English there and it translates pretty well.

I couldn’t find all the numbers yet though, far too sleepy today to try and figure out what the real clues might be. It’s a great area, and when I was there it was empty except for me. Very peaceful and just… nice

Whoa humans, I have a lot of textures! I needs moar! Mew!

Send me some LM’s to places with free textures, particularly if they’re not the same ones that are free everywhere else too. I’d be happy to blog them if you share them with me
With all the classes I take, sometimes the textures are the same. Then I have this habit of picking up any free texture boxes I see. I had about 8 versions of the “65 textures!” box and 12 versions of the free Celaedon texture pack. I have no idea when I picked up 12. Then I had approx 58 versions of “grass”. It was the same texture, same name. I had to look them all over in the organizer to make sure I wasn’t dumping a unique one, but no! All the same!

It’s a real pain in the butt to sort through them before now, but in a way now it’s actually a little bit fun. (Okay, a lot of fun!) I originally tried to just sort them within my inventory and found that I would rather go scrub the toilet in RL than to deal with sorting textures.

Well, toilet! You’re on hold for now! Elf Clan sent out a notice hmm.. two days ago I think (sorry, I’m not so hot at knowing what day it is or how much time has passed bleh). Attatched to it was a free texture organizer. It’s spectacular! It’s “Ceawlin Texture Organizer w/starter textures”

Go get one, you need it. It is 45 prim, btw!

You rez it, then right click and edit.
Then you select “Edit Linked Parts” (up near the top of your edit window)
Now, choose a button. Go with Fabric!
Open your inventory and at the top search “Fabric”
Also at the top of your inventory window (not the program window!) choose “Show Filters”
Choose None on the blue button, then look up the list, choose Texture

You rock.

Now you can pick out fabric textures and throw them into your contents of the Fabric button.

Easy peasy, lemon squeasy. Clean my poopy catbox pleasey!

Then you just repeat. After I organize a load of textures, I’m deleting the copies from my inventory and copying the entire contents of a particular button into a new folder into my backpack inventory.

Exit out of edit mode and choose the fabric button, scroll through. You can then take note of the duplicates and erase them!

It’s very nice. It’s free. It’s easy to use.

The prim count is a little high, and I also could not figure out how to add new buttons or change the names of the current ones. But hey, it’s your organizer. For mine, “Terrain” will probably end up meaning “Particles” hehehe.  Wait, editing to add this:  If you change the button’s name in the Edit Window, it renames on the display too

Right now in Misc what I’m doing is adding in my gemstones, and adding the word “gem” before each one. The textures seem to load in alphabetical order so I’m hoping by adding “gem” or “particles” will group them together.

We’ll see. Now I’ll be better organized and probably clear out about 3k items in my bags inventory!

After this project, I should go through the crapload of outfits too, most of which I will never wear as a kid AV and obviously not as a siamese or tuxedo kitty either!

I have an egg set out for the SLEGG Hunt, it’s up for a week.  I’ll consider adding a new egg after my first one expires though.  It’s fun having people visit my land! :)  I just placed it today (March 23rd) so you have a whole week to go!

SLURL™: Pick up the code for 0L! 

Updated Feb 28 - The SLURL is there now at the top, buy from the blue box for 0L and also from the mini castle there, 0L as well.  The blue box has “Tink” and “Tink License”.  That’s the stuff for the flying pet.  The castle is something called Poppers.  If I remember correctly, it spawns little particles that pop if touched/bumped.  That might not be right though, I didn’t hang around for it to rez.

I picked up Tink after reading this thread very shortly after I started in SL™. There’s a SLURL in the forums thread to where I picked up the pet. I’m heading off to sleep now but I’ll try to remember to verify it tomorrow and post it up. I can’t remember if this was the land that is completely empty with this one item in it or if that was some other thing I picked up.

The wiki version is incomplete. Please do not pester the original script author. If he had plans to finish the wiki, I’m sure he’d of done so by now. I’m sure you can get some help on the official SL™ forums (or elsewhere on other SL™ forums), if you really get stuck. I have slightly more than zero knowledge about it, so I am probably no help with it either.

If you’re looking for why it keeps saying “bubbles!”, check the second brain script down around the third section. I just commented the line out. Took me a while to find that one.

It seems to be completely random rather than controllable. Is that right? I looked over the code but I’m pretty tired, I didn’t see any channel info for forcing it to do something.

Tomorrow I’ll do a test run with the pets and friends notecard in the prim I’m testing. I don’t quite understand what the pets part is for, but the friends seems self explanatory.

Right now I have all the random text on, I think I’ll be turning all that off. It’s really annoying after a while and I can see how aggravating that can become in a busy zone if everyone had one!

I almost have my little pet built, but for now I’m testing it in a sphere. It hovers kind of high, seeing as I’m a tiny. I’ll have to poke around in the script some more and figure out whether or not it looks okay down low. It might ram into human stomachs if I lower it though. Heh.. heh.. heh…

I have some photos of things I did today but I am too tired to post them! I won another Show and Tell at Kuula today, hooooooo! Today I showed a couch I made at CSK class on Chesterfields (Livingroom furniture is what we built). I got a trophy! I’ll post the photo tomorrow of the furniture and trophy.

Neat!  Justine of Sunrio (slurl above) has set up a new blog to help organize all the fun free things for child avatars.  I love all the kid stuff.  Some of it I actually use on my Siamese.  I love lucky chairs with kid stuff in them too.  The rest I stick on my kid AV that I rarely use lately.

I had just been thinking it’d be neat if there was one for kid items.

SLURL:  Privateer Space

Have you been?  If you  haven’t, you should go.

I built my own spacesuit after being issued a challenge at NCI Kuula’s stage one evening recently.  Aley, the owner of Privateer Space sim offered me a copy of her small suit for building ideas and a texture. Thank you Aley! :)  The suit is more for a small human, not a tiny so I had at building one to fit me!

Right now my suit uses the Tardimal AO because that is the only Tiny-AO I had at the time, so that’s in the clothing folder.  I’m going to try later (I crashed out of SL™, imagine that.. it never happens to you right?) to see if I can make myself scrunched just with TAO2 equipped and then my outfit.  (Update:  Using TAO2 works great!)

I don’t know what to do to get a Tiny AO so I can build avatar suits like this.  I don’t know if it’s bad manners to tell people go get Tao2 rather than building it in?  I want to be able for others to wear it, but since it replaces the Wynx body on my AV (leaving only the head of the base avatar) I no longer have an AO unless I wear Tao2 or use another AO from some other random AV’s laying around (that are no transfer).  I’d like to build it in, maybe.. not sure!

Tips, suggestions?

Okay well, here’s some shots of my suit and me in the beautiful Privateer Space!  You can pick up free spaceships to fly around, it’s great.  I have to go back later, I didn’t see all of it yet of course!  There’s a LOT to see.The one photo with the yellow is me flying around, that’s the spaceship spewing out um.. spewage.  I like the last photo, it’s from the debris field (I think that’s the name?) and I was using the Zero Gravity wearable.  It’s down around the landing pad area.  There’s one for tinies and one for everyone else.  It’s fun
Go, shoo shoo.. go see it now!  Turn your draw distance up higher too if your PC can handle it (Hit Control-P and it’s somewhere there, maybe under the Graphics tab.  Just turn it down again before hitting up a busy zone)

I made green flipflops today in a TUi class, so not only am I stealthy.. I’m looking pretty cool too.  *makes flip flop noises*  Shh…..

I picked up another item and another key tonight.  Now I have two items to try and find a place to use them at.  Oh wait no I picked up a third pot shard too.  So while I haven’t figured out what to use the bits for, I feel like I’m making progress.

I need to go to try and figure out what door this key goes to.  I don’t remember which doors I’ve been unable to get through.  I should have kept detailed notes on paper I guess.
