Tonight I’m releasing my Purple floral wreaths and new purple dresses!

Wreaths come separately for 24 $L
Wreaths as a Trio Color Set (all 3 purple together) for 60 $L
Wreath/Dress matching color combo sets for 55 $L

The prices my change, I’m not very good at pricing what I build. Let me know what you think, if they’re too high.. too low.. just right?

There’s also a new 1 $L dress sitting in the pink cat head shop, as well as set up out at my Heron Shire booth. It’s purple (a different shade than these for sale) and comes with a matching hat.

This 1 $L dress isn’t in my OnRez yet.

but…. I’m working on a Waffle themed class to give eventually…  shhhh

Three completely unrelated topics, but I don’t feel like making 3 blog entries.

First up, have you checked the Status Page?  It’s 9am SL time, and do you know how your SL is?  It’s down!  *twitch*  Ah well, I’m getting stuff done around the house that I had planned for this afternoon.  Next up is to get my workout in so I don’t have to do it later!

Next up, robots!  I saw a banner over at SLExchange last night for a contest at Museum of Robots.  Unfortunately I don’t have a LM I can post since I can’t get in grid to grab it.  But if you scroll to the bottom of that MoR page, there’s a LM to click for later!

I think I will try to build a robot!  100 prim limit, there’s info on how to submit and what categories there are.  Then the robots go on display for a while too!  I have some ideas forming up, just need to get in world to start building to see if what’s in my head looks good in prim form.

Now on to stuff.  I think my 10 minute class is as ready as it can be.  I don’t know if I’m ready, but I think the notes and stuff are set now.  I feel queasy when I think about it.  It’s one thing to help friends with building tips, it’s totally different to intentionally stand in front of a crowd with the plan to teach something.  I stand in front of a crowd for speed/blitz builds and show and tells all the time but for some reason that’s less scary.  Show and Tells do make me queasy though.

The VAA Haiku Blitz makes me less queasy of all the contests I enter.  I don’t know why, maybe because I can’t actually see the bleachers.  I always get the feeling that there’s only a couple watchers and mostly it’s just builders.

I think NCI should try the no-texture rule for the blitz.  That was a lot of fun at TUi’s speed build this past week.  It’d be neat to see how people build just using blank (no plywood!) and colors, shine and so on.  Then no one would have to load a zillion textures :)  Nice side bonus, especially for Bevvy who always seems to have the worst time rezzing our builds eek.

Well I guess I’ll go do some laundry and clean the bathroom now.  SL is still down.

Who sells one, for making avatars for giving away or selling?

I sent an IM off to Kage Seraph in hopes he’s moved his shop somewhere maybe.  I couldn’t find the kit out at Dreams the last few times I’ve looked.  I know it was there, but at the time then I didn’t have the L$.  Now I do and eek.. I don’t see his vendors.

I have different tiny AO’s and animations full of Kage’s stuff but I don’t feel right using them in avatars I would like to put in my shop when I know full well they used to be for sale as a kit.  Some came out of freebie avatars and I’ve also got them in freebie AO’s that I’ve picked up here and there.  The latest one was picked up today, but it just doesn’t seem right to rip them out and use them.

Other animations I have are by Zig March.  He offers them free in his shop but the sign is in Japanese so I don’t know what the terms of use are.  For all I know it might say “Don’t touch!” hehe.  There’s not a notecard included (at least I don’t think there was) so I can’t run anything through Google’s translation.  I haven’t asked him yet, since I don’t think he speaks English.

But I thought I’d ask you guys!  Do you know of any other shops that sell a kit or animations that are full perm for making avatars?  The ones at Abranimations are no-trans, so I wouldn’t be able to give away (or sell) any avatars.

I’m having fun learning how to make my own animations and eventually I’ll get there, but for now I’d like to make some avatars without feeling guilty like I’m using someone’s animations without permission!

Voting lasts a week I think!  Just vote, not necessarily fo rme (although that’d be neat!) but just look the entries over and vote.  Everyone who’s entered has worked so hard on their builds and it’ll be great if people come by to actually see them!

Eek help!  Does anyone know where to get them?  I remember picking them all up free where they were in stacked boxes.  Loads of small cubes full of textures.  From signs, to building textures, to loads of object maps.

My heart pains me that they’re all gone from my inventory.

I had a whole load, but today I was a dummy and accidently deleted them (and yes, cleared trash before I realized what I did)  Trying to clean out excess LM’s resulted in some great stuff vanishing.  Sigh.  I succeeded in even deleting the LM I planned to save.  Seriously, today is not my day.

I can’t find the location by way of searches in SL.  I did a google search and went to where one blog mentions them being, but there’s nothing there.

My favorite textures too bleh.. anyone got a current LM please?

I don’t know who created them, well I assume Max Payne but I don’t think that was th ename of the creator on every texture.  I thought it started with a D?   Argghhh…

Help please?

Yesterday I entered the speed build at Dreams.

I had actually entered when I first started in SL I think, but the lag was soooo bad. I’d repeatedly crash, get IM’s from griefers, get griefed while on the sandbox during non contest hours. I couldn’t take it. I quit going. It was far too frustrating.

I’ve been back quite a bit to Dreams land, and it’s lovely. I went to their Fair, I’m entered in the Backyard contest, I’ve done a speed build. There is a bit of lag, but no worse than any other sim. No crashing for the last week, no griefing, no disgusting IM’s making reference to either of my avatar shapes I tend to be in.

I’m glad I gave Dreams another chance, it’s very nice. The people who are involved with dreams are nice too.

I guess the griefers gave up and found a new sim to harass.

Last night the speed build theme was: Pinata!

Hard to see I guess, but it’s a tiger and a calico waiting on the candy to fall from the mouse pinata hehehe. It’s up on display ALL week out at Dreams! It’s just oustide the teleport area in the grassy area on the corner. (Right next to my Backyard plot decorating contest entry)

It’s a whole area of ME!

Then last night I showed at NCI’s Show and Tell.  I love it!  It’s fun forcing you people to look at my work :)  I showed off the cat treehouse that’s on my backyard plot contest entry.  Yay!  I love seeing what everyone’s making. 

Oops, sorry.. no photo of it yet.  I’ll get one when I finish the entire scene.
