My yard, July 10 (panoramic)
SLURL: My land, see it for reals… y0!
URL: Torley’s Panoramic Tutorial
Neat! There’s 58 snapshots used.
To really get the feel of the photo, visit my land to see the real layout of what you see here in this shot.
After seeing Torley’s way cool tutorial on how to do panoramic shots, I decided to give it a try. It’s much easier than it seems like it’d be, honest!
I used Autostitch and Picasa2, there’s links in his tutorial for those. Both are free programs. I’m always stunned to find a free, great program to use. These are great!
Autostitch is most excellent. Just download, unzip it, and do what it says. (Basically load all your images into it at one time and it’ll piece it all together for you.) No having to align pixel by pixel. I don’t know how it works, but it does.
Picasa2 is by Google (I assume, since that’s where I got it!) It was much easier to convert my images to JPG than Photoshop. I selected the first one, then using the arrow keys I could move to the next, and next.. and next… after each “Save as…”
So basically.. Drop down, Save As, hit enter, hit arrow key… repeat.
Is there an easier way?
I’ll make more of these soon… and with Environmental Editor used. It just happened to be night when I took these. I think a nice sunset would look better.
